Propylaeum programs help meet our mission and help introduce the Propylaeum to hundreds of people each year. The board and committees are working hard to reschedule all programs that have been postponed this spring including “Digging in Their Heels,” the Marilyn K. Glick Women’s Enrichment Series and the May Wright Sewall Leadership Award.
New dates will be posted soon and all purchased tickets will be transferable to these new dates.
Programs are the foundational element of the Indianapolis Propylaeum, as the place for women to learn, connect and grow. Propylaeum programs center around our mission focus of women’s leadership and arts and culture. These broad-based topics allow the Propylaeum to reach diverse audiences, meeting women and the community where they are, yet offering new food for thought. The Propylaeum’s intimate setting creates the opportunity to meet people not ordinarily available.
The Women’s Enrichment Series features prominent women who have contributed to the social, cultural, educational, and professional fabric of Indiana.
The May wright Sewall Leadership Award is given to women each year, who exude the spirit of the award’s namesake. The 2019 award winner is Marianne Glick.
Salon Society event combines our mission of art and agricultural preservation as it is our single largest fundraiser of the year and the majority of funds go to mansion upkeep and operations. The event features a chamber music concert, followed by energetic silent and live auctions, then concludes with dinner.
The PROPerly Chic Style Show is an annual brunch event which allows attendees the opportunity to see and shop all the newest fashions for the fall, courtesy of The Secret Ingredient. The Fall event always boasts a fun theme, and is a favorite event among members and friends.
2019 welcomed the return of Murder Mystery dinners to the Propylaeum. The popular event has been restructured and re-imagined to better engage guests. Attendees have the pleasure of enjoying a cocktail hour, dinner, tour, and dessert complete with champagne toast upon revealing the murderer. The Propylaeum hosts 3-4 murder mystery events per year.
