The evening begins with a special harp performance by Krystle Ford and her daughter, illustrating the beauty of learning alongside one another across generations. Krystle will share the personal story of growing up in a family where music was an expectation, not an exception, and how that foundation continues to influence both her life and her leadership of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, a program of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Rather than asking who belongs in the arts, her story demonstrates what becomes possible when artistic excellence, discipline, and opportunity are woven into everyday life.

Joined by Luz Flores for a fireside conversation, the two will reflect on mentorship, cultural identity, community, and the enduring role the arts play in shaping both individuals and the cities they call home.
