Indiana Landmarks Tour: The Indianapolis Propylaeum

Select Sundays, September–March

Tours depart at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
The Indianapolis Propylaeum, 1410 North Delaware Street, Indianapolis

Take a deep dive into Indianapolis history at the Indianapolis Propylaeum, a Queen Anne-style landmark in the city’s Old Northside. Built in 1890 as a private residence, the building has served as a hub for arts, culture, and women’s leadership since 1923. On a one-hour guided tour with Indiana Landmarks, tourgoers will explore the main building, carriage house, and grounds; learn about the property’s preservation; and hear about prominent movers and shakers associated with the site over time.

Presented in partnership with the Propylaeum Historic Foundation.

Tours depart from just inside the main building entrance, facing Delaware Street (1410 North Delaware, Indianapolis). While the first floor of the Propylaeum is accessible to all, transitioning to upper floors requires climbing stairs. Questions? Contact tourism@indianalandmarks.org.

Tickets cost $15/general public, $12/Indiana Landmarks member, $10/child (ages 6-11), and are free to children age 5 and under. Purchase tickets online using the form below, by visiting propylaeumbuildingtours2526.eventbrite.com, or by calling Indiana Landmarks at 317-639-4534 or 800-450-4534.
