Historic Preservation Series: Emerson Heights

Join us for the next event in our popular local history series! On June 18, historian and writer George Hanlin will present "Emerson Heights: A Historic East Side Neighborhood."

Emerson Heights, one of Indianapolis’s most charming early 20th-century neighborhoods, embodies the ideals of the streetcar suburb and features an array of beautifully preserved bungalows, American Foursquares, and Tudor Revival homes. Hanlin will share the story of the neighborhood’s development, its role in the city’s east side growth, and the people who helped shape its legacy.
