Kicking off Summer at the Indianapolis Propylaeum!
Summer has officially arrived here at the Indianapolis Propylaeum! On Friday, June 3rd we hosted our first Porch Concert of the 2022 series with local jazz band, Premium Blend.
Led by saxophonist Jared Thompson, Premium Blend is a modern jazz quartet that combines traditional elements of bebop, hard bop, r&b and groove in their original compositions. This was the band's second time performing at the Propylaeum after being apart of 2021 Porch Concert Series Lineup.
We had a wonderful turnout for the show, accompanied by even better weather! Guests enjoyed sprawling out on our expansive lawn, grabbing a drink from the cash bar, and enjoying the show. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Propylaeum to enjoy the show!
We would like to extend a special thank you to our Porch Concert Supporters. Through their $150 donation, they support the continuation of our Porch Concert Series and help support the featured musicians.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our Performance Patrons who contributed the largest donation of the evening. For their generous contribution, the Performance Patrons received priority seating for 12 at our VIP table, wine and beer, cupcakes donated by The Flying Cupcake, and a charcuterie board. Their contribution directly supports our mission and makes the continuation of this series possible.

Our next Porch Concert is taking place on Friday, July 8 and will feature local alt. rock band, Sidewalk Souls. Although distinctly alternative rock at it's root, Sidewalk Souls' music is heavily laden with soul, reggae, and a touch of Americana, reflecting the diverse musical palettes of its members.
