"Digging in Their Heels" Comes to the Prop

March 14-15 come see the wildly popular “Digging in Their Heels,” a one-woman performance by Sally Perkins in the Carriage House at the Indianapolis Propylaeum. “Digging In Their Heels” is a high-speed story of women’s battle for the ballot that inspires audiences to keep digging for justice as they marvel, laugh and learn from women who paved the way. It modernizes both the people and issues facing women 100 years ago, begging questions like- what if Susan B. Anthony had an iPad and Twitter?

Perkins has been sharing her talents with this hilarious regaling of the women’s suffrage movement throughout Indiana for years, and in 2019 she even performed the play Off-Broadway in New York City. Her Propylaeum performances are perfect for those who have never seen the show, as well as those who have seen her ten times! After both the Friday and Saturday evening performances she will be conducting an exclusive discussion with an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. This is a must-see performance, especially during Women’s History month, and a perfect opportunity to engage in the arts while embracing history, both in the show as well as the historical significance of the setting.
