September Prop Day to Feature Rosanna Hardin Hall


On Wednesday, September 18, Prop Day will welcome artist and author Rosanna Hardin Hall who will speak to members and guests on her work and her travels. Ms. Hall, an Indianapolis-based world traveler, author, and painter is well known for her paintings of fountains, cypress trees, medieval and Renaissance gardens in Italy. As a plein air (outdoor) painter, Ms. Hall adapts the materials and techniques of the Italian Renaissance a using nature as her studio. Her paintings are oil on linen and include English gardens as well the villas and gardens of ancient Pompeii and of the Renaissance era in Rome, Florence, and Venice. She may be most well known locally for her beautiful paintings of fountain and garden scenes outside her home in historic Woodruff Place.

Ms. Hall is the author of “Poesia: Painting in Venetian Gardens with Giorgione” 2017.
