Fridays are for Fun

Did you know that we schedule an outing each month on a Friday? Here’s what is on the schedule for August and September:

On August 9, we will meet at Newfields at 11:00 for a docent-led tour of the American galleries, focusing on women artists – a follow-up to the Women’s History Tea. After the hour-long tour we will have lunch in the Newfields café. Contact LaurieAnne if you plan to attend, 317-638-7881, ext. 4. Newfields members have free admission and others will be charged a discounted rate of $15 for the tour.

On September 6, we will visit the Caroline Scott Harrison DAR Chapter House at 4635 North Illinois Street and get an overview of May Wright Sewall’s involvement with this local chapter. They even have some of her things! Stay tuned for more details in the September newsletter.
