Do you have a required caterer for private events?
Yes, we require that all private events use Jacquie's Gourmet Catering. Caterers work directly with couples on menu options and pricing. The Propylaeum handles all alcoholic beverage packages, including the staffing of bartenders, and we have options for beer, wine, and liquor bars. While our preferred caterers are the required caterer for all food and beverage needs, dessert can be provided by a 3rd party vendor.

What people are saying about the Propylaeum
Showered in Compliments
I hosted a baby shower here for my sister and it was perfect. The building alone is incredible. The historical aspect gave my guests something extra to explore in addition to the expected games and small talk. The staff are very friendly and professional. They worked with me, at my convenience, to make sure I was getting what I wanted. When comparing similar venues, I think the Prop is the best deal for the price. I got so many compliments on the venue, I think it would be great for other events too.
EXCELLENT Venue! We had our book signing at the Propylaeum. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the place is gorgeous. The flow to allow people to move around was perfect. There were 11 authors there and enough room for all of us. Bonus, there were enough bathrooms!
I hosted a 50th birthday party event here and it was an amazing experience. All the details associated with throwing a huge party were made easier to manage by the knowledgeable and helpful staff. They provided blueprints to plan out layouts and were onsite during the entire event for those on-the-spot decisions that every party experiences. We have guests from out of town stay at the venue, too, and that was a great decision. All-in-all, I am so happy we chose the Propylaeum for the event and would do so again in a heartbeat. It made a once-in-a-lifetime event quite special.
Full of History and Beauty
The Indianapolis Propylaeum is an economic and highly accommodating venue in Indianapolis that is full of history and beauty. I coordinated with the wonderful staff to help host a community plan launch for the nonprofit at which I worked. We were taken care of from start to finish (also, make sure to check out The Food Guys for awesome catering options)! A HUGE thank you to LaurieAnne and Liz for being rock stars and keeping the mission of The Propylaeum alive. I look forward to my next event here!
