The Foundation is responsible for the preservation and maintenance of the Propylaeum and its carriage house, increased awareness of their historic significance and ancillary educational and charitable purposes.

The Propylaeum Historic Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public not-for-profit corporation established in 1981.

The Foundation sponsors the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the May Wright Sewall Leadership Award, and nursing scholarships to Indiana nursing students.
